WELL. As you guessed, or have seen, the Rock Column is STILL DOWN. They have completed all of their testing and at this point are discontinuing the use of the RedPointe Auto-Belay System. This is the number one Auto-Belay system in the world.... There are tens of thousands of Rock Climbing walls that are now shutdown globally. We are in constant communication with our wall provider who is looking to have a replacement available during the first quarter of 2010. At this time it is against the law to run this rock column. We WILL STILL PROVIDE OUR ROTATING ROCK WALL AS A REPLACEMENT FOR OUR TIME PLAY PACKAGES AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
I'm sorry. MSA alerted us that there is STILL NO UPDATE ON THE ROCK COLUMN. WE are continuing to provide the rotating wall as a supplement to the column at no extra charge.
Tonight's Linn Mar Mentoring group was a great success. Nearly 20% more people showed this year, which is up for the fourth year in a row!! Not only that but all the parents took advantage of our $6.99 Pizza Special! Thanks Kevin for coming back and letting Planet X show your group a great time....
The other Space Bike pedal crank assembly went down on Saturday afternoon. Both cranks are at the machinist now getting re-machined. Both bike should be operable by this weekend still. SORRY! No, this doesn't have anything to do with the master crank/axle. There are absolutely zero safety concerns with this part so don't worry!
On a lighter note, the games are in GREAT SHAPE. We've spent the last couple weeks going through everything trying to make sure they are geared up for busy season. Pssst, we may be updating some too! We'll definitely let you know when we do!

We just received an update from MSA regarding the Auto-Belay system that we use for our Static Climbing Wall. It is exciting to see that they HAVE NOT YET FOUND THE AUTO-BELAY TO BE AT FAULT FOR THE ACCIDENTS THAT WERE AT OTHER SITES. They are still waiting for information back from the bearing manufacturer to see if there was some damage to the bearing. This information is scheduled to be available to them this time next week. We are as anxious to hear back about this as you are and cannot wait to re-open our Static Climbing Wall. We once again want to re-inform you that NEITHER OF THE ACCIDENTS WERE AT PLANET X, but at other sites where similar Auto-Belays were used. Regarding the Rock Wall, spoke with MSA again today and no news yet. We will continue to substitute the rotating wall in the meantime.
What an exciting week! We did loads of game repair in anticipation of a fun filled weekend. We've got some new hires on staff as well that are anxious to get their feet wet with some Planet X Birthday Party Craziness. We should know more about the rock-wall today as well. They set the finalization of their testing to be today, I'll post accordingly.
