Pleasant Prairie, WI 1/28/2010 We are pleased to invite the Cutting Edge Figure Skating Club to Planet X for some FUN! They will be coming to Cedar Rapids to compete in the 2010 Midwest and Pacific Coast Skating Competition (http://eifscorg.ipower.com/eifsc/id22.html). They are joining us for 2 HOURS OF FOOD AND FUN, perfect for blowing off some steam!
More about Cutting Edge: http://www.cuttingedgefsc.org/home.html Cutting Edge Figure Skating Club (CEFSC) was organized in 2006 by parents interested in further developing the figure skating program at the Pleasant Prairie IcePlex, located in the village of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, just north of the Illinois border. The club began managing the IceStars synchronized skating teams with the 2006-2007 season. For the 2008-2009 season, the club manages four teams comprised of 49 skaters from Wisconsin and Illinois.
CEFSC was incoporated as a non-profit organization in the state of Wisconsin in the spring of 2007, received 501(c)(3) tax exempt status as a public charity in July, 2007, and was approved as a provisional member club with the United States Figure Skating Association (USFS) that same month. Since then, CEFSC has fostered the sport of figure skating for both individual figure skaters and synchronized team skaters by offering sanctioned USFS test sessions to eligible USFS member skaters, and both USFS and ISI synchronized skating instruction and competitions to our members. The club currently has over 70 skating members participating in both individual figure skating and synchronized team skating. Cutting Edge FSC was elected to full club membership in United States Figure Skating at the 2008 USFS Governing Council annual meeting held in Denver.
We are proud and happy to watch our skaters' developing skills and enjoying the sport of figure skating.
